Some of my works

Since my blog has the word quilt in it, I figured I better post some pictures of quilts I've made. Drum roll please......

This is the latest - my lap quilt. Authentic by Sweetwater fabric. Wonky, raggy charm squares. Just need to finish sewing the binding on and it's set!

Lucas's doggy quilt: Robert Kaufman Animal Party

Callie's baby quilt

Bobby's baby quilt: All Star by Riley Blake (These were taken with my phone - not the best, but you get the point)
My Mom's quilt  - fabulous batiks from Monarch Quilts in Brighton. (forgot to take pictures once it was finished. Made for a full sized bed....with Cooper helping me pin baste the layers. Wow, my dog is huge!!!)

So it's been a learning experience and I'm slowly getting better with each one! Can't wait to get the next one started!

Another first

Today's my first day of blogging. I wanted a place to be able to post pictures and give updates to family far and wide. As for the name of the blog - I wasn't very creative....many people have interesting blog names - I am not one of them. I almost went with Cooper Farts, but that's not a good name to get people to actually look at your blog :)

A little introduction: I'm 30-something; married; have a four-legged kid (Cooper); like to be outside (hiking, camping, kayaking, sitting by bonfires, etc), don't get there often enough; work in healthcare; love to play board games; working on my photography skills; and I am new to the quilting world (and quite hooked, let me tell you! I've made a few quilts for friends' baby showers and a few for my family as well. I am working on finishing the binding of my very own lap quilt and am cutting fabric today to start my first queen sized quilt for our bed)

I'm using Amanda Jeans's zig zag tutorial as a guide. Here's the fabric, off white solid inbetween...that's all for now.
As for the name of my blog - this should say it all!
